The Most Divisive Figure in America

President Obama is the most divisive figure in America. Add that title to the list of other names I have called him. For all his critics who claimed that George W. Bush divided Americans, you never heard him attack Democrats and other segments of Americans the way Obama did today and frankly has done throughout his short but disastrous presidency. Obama's entire strategy seems to be focused on pitting the poor versus the rich in this country and then painting the Republicans as the party of the rich. Here are a couple of examples from a speech our President (yes he is President of all of us, even though he doesn't act like it) made today:

"With all the other budgetary pressures we have — with all the Republicans' talk about wanting to shrink the deficit — they would have us borrow $700 billion over the next ten years to give a tax cut of about $100,000 to folks who are already millionaires."

"Keep in mind wealthy Americans are just about the only folks who saw their incomes rise when Republicans were in charge."

In those two quotes, we see everything that is wrong with this President. For one, it's obvious he despises people who got rich off of anything other than politics. He can't despise people who got rich off of politics because he and his wife, and most of the professional politicians in the democratic party got rich that way. Secondly, he is not even willing to consider Republican ideas. I'm a Republican, and I'll freely admit that not all of our ideas are perfect, but neither are the ideas of Democrats. The balance is somewhere in the middle, leaning towards the right if you ask me. Obama doesn't see it this way, and he makes that obvious every time he talks and every time he refuses to negotiate with Republicans.

Contrast that with George W. Bush, who Democrats claimed was the most divisive President in history. Bush went out of his way to work with Democrats on just about every issue. He worked with Senator Kennedy to write the "No Child Left Behind" policy on education and then stood by it when the Democrats blamed it's failure on him. He always acted like he was President of all of us, even when those on the left called him everything from Hitler to Satan. George W. Bush understood the responsibility of his Office meant he had to be somewhat above the fray of everyday politics. George W. Bush was a class act compared to the spoiled brat we have as a President right now.

I didn't agree with everything George W. Bush did his last 4 years, but I sure miss him now. America needs new ideas and bold leadership to reduce the debt and get people back to work. All we get from President Obama is the same tired Democrat rhetoric that the Democrats have been spouting for the last 50 years. The people who voted for Obama because he was new and different have gotten nothing more than a hack democratic politician who happens to read a teleprompter well, and now with 10% unemployment and no relief in sight, we are experiencing the repercussions of those votes.
