Ok, this should be my last Denver Broncos post until the draft. Yesterday, the Broncos traded disgruntled, whiny QB Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears for QB Kyle Orton, 2 1st round draft picks and a 3rd round draft pick. It's over....now we can finally move on to other things.
I'm happy with this trade for 3 reasons:
1) The drama is over.
2) I think that the Broncos should be able to parlay the 2, 1st round picks into something good.
3) Kyle Orton is from Iowa, and QB's from Iowa win Super Bowls....see Kurt Warner as an example. Plus, he's never been a whiner, and the offense that the Broncos will run will be very similar to what Orton ran at Purdue, where he holds most of the records.
So, good luck Mr. Sensitive (a.k.a. Jay Cutler)...I hope the grass really is greener for you in the windy city.
